Despite their ever-changing line-up, there's a few things about SUBS that are immortal: One is that you can count on singer Kang Mao blowing your brains out with her vocals, two is guitarist Wu Hao will continue to innovate through his elliptical riffs, and three they will never compromise. In a country where selling-out is usually the end goal, SUBS has been fully DIY since the beginning. Kang Mao won "Best Female Vocalist" at The 2014 Sound Stage Music Awards by an online poll.
